Captain Cook Highway

This is one of the most scenic drives in the world. A short 75km road sandwiched between the coral waters of the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest. This highway is iconic in itself and best enjoyed at a slow pace; it is a road trip on its own. Along the road are various waterfalls, beaches, and hiking trails. There are many incredible sights you can find along the way, and one of them is Kuranda village. This village in itself holds many amazing views, there is the Miranda Scenic Railway. You will also find the Skyrail rainforest cableway here. It is a gondola that rises above the rainforest, giving you a spectacular view of the ocean. Right outside the village, you’ll find the Barron Gorge national park which contains the Barron Fall.
